What we store
Gotchu keeps account details needed to run the service (profile, credits, billing metadata), search history you create, and matches you choose to save. Browser state may also hold UI preferences and draft search fields (without photo binaries).
Uploaded image previews are used to run a face search and are not kept as a permanent public index of your face.
Public information & exposure checks
Gotchu works with publicly available references and public exposure indexes. Private accounts are never accessed or bypassed.
For identifier searches, we may show limited identity indicators (such as email, phone, username, or name) when they appear in those indexes. Passwords, payment secrets, precise addresses, IP addresses, and birth dates are hidden from the product UI. Exposure indicators are not proof of identity and must not be used for employment, housing, credit, or other regulated screening.
